Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka's Cycling Team

RIDES to ensure no one faces cancer alone.™

We are recruiting enthusiastic riders of all ages, shapes and sizes to join us as part of our Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka's Cycling Team for this year's Subaru Centurion The Blue Mountains September 15-17th in Collingwood.

Be part of a great weekend of cycling and camaraderie, helping to meet our fundraising goal of $20,000, all to fund our support groups for adults and children alike.  Gilda's Club runs more than 260 cancer support groups each year. These groups provide integral support, resources and a sense of community across the cancer experience. Ride with us to ensure no one faces cancer alone!

Getting started is easy!

This is a 3-step process. The first step registers you with Centurion Blue Mountain for the C100, C50,  and/or C25 event.

Step 1.  Register with the Subaru Centurion The Blue Mountains for any or all of their 2017 events by visiting their website at: www.centurioncycling.com. Register for your desired distance(s) and be sure to join Gildas Club Simcoe Muskoka Cycling Team. *The registration fee confirms your participation in the ride with the organizing company.

Check the Centurion Cycling link here www.centurioncycling.com for full registration details and the schedule of events throughout the week-end.

Step 2.  Gilda’s Club Cycling Team riders can create a unique fundraising page and share with friends, family members and colleagues. For help in creating your fundraising page contact: anne@gildasclubsm.org

Step 3. As team member of Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka Cycling Team you commit to fundraise a minimum of $250 per rider, or $500 per couple or family, in support of Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka and in turn you will receive:

  • A customized Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka Cycling Team t-shirt to wear with pride as a part of your contribution in supporting Gilda’s Club.
  • A personalized, online fundraising page.
  • The opportunity to participate in three separate fun training rides.
  • A sense of accomplishment that YOU are making a difference in the lives of those with cancer in your community!

We provide the online support to allow your friends and family to conveniently contribute and support you in your ride and too also receive tax receipts.

Some riders prefer to make some, or all, of their charitable donation commitment personally. Some riders organize fundraising events to raise funds to support their ride. YES, Bake Sales still work!!

Our experience has been that 99% of our previous riders have met or surpassed their fundraising goals, one way or another, all we ask is that you have fun all in an effort to help support those seeking support through our weekly support groups and helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.™

Next Steps

Once we have an initial commitment from a core group, we will schedule a media event to celebrate this year’s team.  Hope you can join us in riding to ensure no one faces cancer alone.™
